THE LATE ARTHUR BRYANT. A MARK OF RESPECT. Before business was commenced at the annual meeting of Te Awamutu and district groups of the New Zealand Herd Testing Association yesterday afternoon, Mr A. S. Wyllie, who presided, paid a tribute to the memary of the late Mr Arthur T. Bryant, of Orakau, whose untimely death had occurred a fortnight ago under tragic circumstances. Mr Wyllie said Mr Bryant had been a farmer of much more than average ability, keenly enthusiastic. He was a consistent supporter of herd testing, calf-marking, and testing for mammitis, besides the sire survey scheme of the Association. The Te Awamutu district had lost a very valuable settler, concluded Mr Wyllie. Then, at his instance, the assemblage stood in silence as a mark of respect to the memory of the late Mr Bryant., and of sympathy with his widow, young family and other relatives. MOTION OF SYMPATHY.
