HOCKEY
THE PIRONGIA CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING HELD. At the annual meeting of the Piron gia Ladies’ Hockey Club, the following officers were elected: President, Mrs W. H. Bell (re-elect-ed). Vise-presidents: Mesdames S. Sifleet, J. G. Butterworth and E. C. Beet. Secretary and treasurer: Miss J. Sifleet. Honorary members: Mesdames G. Bainbridge, R. Bell, E. Bell and K. Newdick and Miss R. Bell. It was decided to enter a team in the Waipa ladies’ competition as usual, and to ask that Te Awamutu be regarded as the home ground for the team, as no suitable field was available at Pirongia. A vote of thanks was passed to the retiring secretary, Miss R. Bell, who had held the position since the club was formed some years ago.
It was decided to hold the annual hockey dance on Wednesday, May 18th.
