REPRESENTATION
In the course of the Te Awamutu Power Board meeting last Friday, the chairman (Mr J. T. Johnson) referred to the alteration in the constitution and personnel of the Board, by which the borough of Te Awamutu would continue to be represented by two members, the northern portion oi Otorohanga by one member, and the southern portions of both Waipa and Raglan counties by five members. This distribution he considered fair -and reasonable, and added that a portion of Kawhia County would have to be included at no distant date. That area would want representation, and he suggested that one representative would meet the needs, making a total membership of nine, instead of eight as at present. Members discussed the position, and agreed to ask the Minister to provide for the election of one member to represent Kawhia County when that area is incorporated.
