. HAMILTON STOCK SALE. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report as follows on their Frankton Sale held on Tuesday. Cattle: Generally speaking a good sale was effected at values firm on recent quotations. We yarded a number of pens of good to heavy P.A. fat heifers, as well as the usual offering of good fat Jersey beef. The demand was consistently strong end all sold freely. Also unfinished and ex dairy cows elicited fairly good bidding and consequently prices were fully maintained. A few bulls and dairy cows drew a good response of buyers, prices being satisfactory. We quote:—Good quality P.A. heifers £5 6s to £6 Is; lighter do. £4 15s to £5 ss; medium fat Holstein cows £4 15s to £5 4s; good quality Jersey cows £4 5s to £5; medium £3 5s to "i; light and stores £2 15s to £3 2s 6d; boners up to £2 10s; I.C. heifers medium £5 10s; dairy heifers up to £6 ss. Sheep.—Bone sheep were penned in moderate supply only. Both wethers and ewes commanded good bidding, and prices were as formerly. Lambs of which there was a fair yarding, were sold likewise without ■ ppreciable fluctuation. Heavy quality wethers made 31s to 33s 6d; medium 25s to 30s; heavy fat ewes 25s to 27s 9d; medium 22s to 245; light tin to 19s; heavy lambs 22s to 25s 6d; medium 19s to 21s: forward store lambs 15s to 17s; others up to 14s Id. Figs: There was a better tone in this i ection. Porkers advanced a fraction, while h'aconer values, though about equal taking the average, improved a shade in one or two instances. The inquiry for stores and weaners was fairly good, and if anything, they would be a little higher. A small entry of stores and weanes elicited the usual competition and made satisfactory rates on the basis of late quotations. Light porkers made 33s to 355, good store pigs 16s to 21s, medium 13s to 16s, slips I.ls to 13s, weaners up to 10s. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auehaving held their Otorohanga stock sale yesterday when a full yarding of fat and store cows came forward. The entry in both the sheep and pig sections .was small. The demand for all c'asses of works cows was keen and prices realised showed an advance on those ruling at last sale. For the small entry of store lambs competition was good and prices realised were in vendors’ favour. Fat heifers made £5 15s to £6 Ils, heavy fat Jersey cows £4 10s to £5 ss, heavy works cows £3 10s to £4 ss, medium £2 15s to £3 ss, light 35s to £2 10s, 4-year P.A. and Hereford steers to £7 10s, 2-year P.A. and Hereford steers to £5 5s to £5 15s, potter bulls £3 17s Cd to £6. Sheep: Black face lambs 16s to 17s 6d. Pigs: Light porkers 28s to 345, large stores 18s to 20s, weaners 7s 6d to 9s 6d.

HAMILTON STOCK SALE. (Messrs Dalgety and Company Limited, report having held their usual weekly stock sale at Frankton saleyards on Tuesday as under: Fat Sheep.—No doubt the inclement weather was the cause of a very short yarding. Prices advanced about Is to 2s per head on last week’s rates. Medium weight prime wethers made 32s 6d to 34s 6d; medium quality wethers 29s 6d to 31s 6d; heavy fat ewes 24s to 265; unfinished and light 17s to 22s 6d. Fat Lambs. —A moderate yarding which sold at full late rates. Good heavy woolly lambs 2os ■to 28s 6d; light woolly lambs 22s 9d tc 24s 6d; unfinished lambs 16s to 18s. Fat Cattle.— A moderate yarding of fat bullocks of nice quality, but competition was weak and the majority were passed at auction. Light fat steers made £7 16s to £8 7s 6d; fat cows and heifers sold at late rates; fat cows and heifers medium weights £5 to £5 10s;'light weight cows £4 7s 6d to £4 17s 6d; runners made £3 to £3 15s; vealers 25s to 50s. Store Sheep.—We sold 400 ewes in lamb to Southdown Rams 24s 6d to 26s 9d; store woolly lambs 12s. Pigs.—A heavy yarding of fat pigs came forward with a medium yarding of stores and weaners. The yarding of fat pigs comprised chiefly of porkers and light baconers. Spirited competition was maintained throughout the sale. Baconers made up to £3 14s. Stores and weaners were slow of demand. HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report: Sheep.—At Frankton Sale on Tuesday, a smaller yarding of fat sheep. Values for wethers remained firm at late quotations, while competition for a shorter offering of fat ewes was particularly keen and values showed a marked improvement on last week’s rates. An average yarding of fat lambs also met with a better demand. Store sheep realised late values, while a line of 455 small 2-tooth wethers sold from 22s to 23s 6d. Cattle:—A full yarding of all classes was penned, including a full entry of ox beef which was not keenly sought after, and in most cases Vendor’s reserves were hard to reach. A better inquiry existed for both cow and heifer beef, and in this section a total clearance. was effected, at values on a par with last week’s quotations. A full offering of vealers sold at late ruling rates. Boner cows were again penned in heavy numbers, values remaining unchanged. Pigs:—,-A good yarding of fat pigs, and a small entry of stores and weaners. Both baconers and porkers were again in keen demand and last week’s advanced rates fully maintained. Steres and weaners also realised late rates.
