WEDDING BELLS

. CLARKE-FORDHAM. A wedding of Te Awamutu and district. interest was solemnised at St. John’s Church last Saturday after;, noon, when the Rev. J. Coldham-Fus-sell, acting vicar, officiated. Miss P. North officiated at the organ. The bride was Miss Ada Fordham, second daughter of Mrs and the late W. P. Fordham, of Kopaki, and the bridegroom Mr Walter Alexander Clarke, third son of Mr and Mrs G. S. Clarke, ot' Te Rahu Road. The bride, who entered the church with her brother, Mr Geo. Fordham, of Kopaki, looked charming in a gown of magnolia satin beaute, with fitting bodice, high neck line, full sleeves fitting to a shaped cuff, full skirt falling to a slight train, and with diamante trimmings; she wore a pretty tulle veil, and orange blossoms and carried a sheaf of lilies. In attendance as bridesmaids were the Misses Mary and Myra Fordham, sisters of the bride, dressed alike in blue satin beaute, fitting bodice, high neck line, buttoned to the waist at back, full sleeves, and skirt falling in soft folds. Each wore a blue leghorn hat, blue shoes, and carried a posy of pink rosebuds. The flower girl was little Mona Clarke, a niece ol the bridegroom, dressed in pink satin beaute, cut Victorian style, with a skirt of tiny net frills and puff sleeves. She carried a posy of pink rosebuds and she wore a circlet of rosebuds as a headdress. Mr Gordon Wallace (Pokuru) was best man, and Mr Lawrence Clarke (brother of the bridegroom) was the groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Daffodil Tearooms, where Mrs Fordham received her guests wearing a frock of brown flora! marocain, with fawn hat, and she carried a bouquet of orange shaded ranunculi. Later the happy couple left by car, amid showers ot confetti, on their honeymoon, the bride travelling in a Donegal tweed costume, with fawn and brown tagel straw hat and brown shoes. Mr and Mrs Clarke will make their home at Puniu Road, Te Awamutu.
