SMITH—TAYLOR. A very pretty wedding was solemnised on Saitui/day, September 19th, at St. A.nrdqw’s Presbyterian Church, Te Awamutu, when the Rev. A. C. Whitelaw officiated at the marriage of Gladys Rachel, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. J. Taylor, Mangapiko, to Keith Revens, second son of Mr and Mrs F. Smith, of Lower Hutt. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a graceful frock of ivory lace and georgette made in a slim fitting style, with a plaited belt of georgette,. Her beautiful embroidered tulle veil (lent by her sister-in-law) fell in graceful folds from a halo of orange blossoms forming a train. She; carried a beautiful sheaf of lilies, fresias and spring bulbs with maidenhair fern and tied with a big bow of gauze ribbon. Her dainty toilet Was completed with white satin shoes, with a trimming of silver kid. She was attended by two bridesmaids, Misses Freda Smith, Lower Hutt, and Claris Rowell, Wellington, who were dressed alike in fitting frocks of parchment satin with raglan sleeves niched down to the shoulders and forming full bell sleeves. The necks were trimmed with velvet flowers in shades of magenta, lemon and green with gold leaves. The pretty head bands worn over one eye were made in the same tonings of velvet flowers with gold leaves. Bouquets of Iceland poppies, cold fresias and spring flowers in the same tonings with maidenhair fern and tied with magenta, satin ribbon were carried and they wore gold shoe's. The little flower girl, Audrey Wilton, Palmerston North (neice of the bride) wore, primrose crepe de chine, ankle; length, made in. similar style to the bridesmaids but with a twisted velvet ribbon sash in magenta and lemon. She wore an unusual headdress of velvet flowers with velvet ribbons in the same tonings, and carried a tulle muff trimmed with small flowers to tone, with a few touches of blue with a bow and strdimers of magenta and lemon velve; ribbons. She also wore gold shoes. As the bride was leaving the church, she was presented with a pretty white horseshoe by her small nephew, Baby Noel Taylor. A reception was held atte'.iwards at the Regent Tea Rooms, thq guests being received by Mrs Taylor, who wore a navy floral crepe de chine frock, nla.vy crepe de chine coat, navy hat, shoes and gloves and a fur stole. She carried a posy of blue grape hyacinths and yellow lachenalias tied with* yellow satin ribbon. Mrs Smith assisted the bride’s mother, and wore <a. frock of navy and white marocain with navy coat, hat, shoes and gloves, and fox fur. She carried a posy of red anenemiea and fresias. Mrs Wilton (sister of the bride) was wearing ia smart saxe blue jumper suit with hat to tone, and fur stole. Mrs Frank Taylor (sister-in-law), was in a smart ensemble of floral marocain, red coat and hat.

Amongst the many beautiful presents wiere several cheques, and the beautiful two-tier Wedding cake, which was made by the bride’s cousin Mrs Harold Taylor, of Otaki. Telegrams were received from all parts of Now Zealand. The bride and bridegroom left later for the North, the bride travelling in a smart tailor-made costume, white blouse and smart navy toque with eye veil, navy shoes, gloves and handbag. Their future home will be in Te Awamutu.
