JERSEY BULLS

IN THE JUDGING RING. TE AWAMUTU CLUB’S SALE. The Te Awamutu Jersey Club’s annual pedigree bull sale was held at the municipal saleyards to-day under favourable auspices. Proceedings commenced with the judging in two sections —yearlings and two year olds —and keen interest was displayed in the placings of Mr F. Lovelock, the well known show ring judge, of Matangi. In the yearling section there were 13 entries, and after a good deal of consideration seven were passed over in the first inspection. Then they were again narrowed down to four and the awards went to: First: Mr J. Holmes’ H. O. Campanile Gold, by H. O. Soumise Lad from II O. Golden Lady. Second: Mr F. Ryburn’s The Oaks Hurricane, by Gay Aster of WoodCrest from The Oaks Storm. Third: Mr J. Holmes’ H. O. Forward Pride, by H. O. Standard Xenia from Ivondale Darkie’s Pride. There were 12 competitors in the two year old section, and the honours were awarded as follows: First: Mr J. Holmes’ H. O. Campanile Renown, by H. O. Soumise Lad from Riverswood Golden Heath. Second: Mr Chhajja Sing’s Holyland Joy’s Prince, by Holyland Pretty Prince from State Golden Pretty.
