GOLF BALL
FUNCTION AT KIO KIO. The third annual ball of the Kio Kio Golf Club was enjoyed by members and friends to the strains of O’Rourke’s Orchestra in. the Kio Kio Hall on Thursday last. The hall was tastefully decorated in the club’s colours of green and gold. The hostess, Mts Sing, wearing a frock of deep blue cloque relieved with silk velvet, received the guests, including the debutante, Miss Joan Carter, accompanied by her mother, Mrs F. Cleland, in navy blue georgette and lace. Miss Carter wore a white frock of taffeta attractively quilted at bodice and hem, and carried a posy of pink flowers. The committee comprised of Mesdames Wyllie, CJeland, G. Lissington, Davis and Dempsey, served a dainty supper of savouries and cakes attractively arranged on tea wagons. Two novelty dances, the Monte Carlo waltz and the spot waltz, were won by Miss Corbett and Mr Ingham and Miss A. Cumbstone and partner, respectively, bringing a successful and enjoyable evening to a close.
