R.S.A. MATTERS
TE AWAMUTU EXECUTIVE MEETS. At a njeeting last evening of the executive of Te Awamutu Returned Soldiers’ Association it was decided to hand to the press a copy of the minutes of the recent deputation to Ministers on the subject of returned soldier settlers, with a request for publication. (This will appear in a later issue.) A vote of sympathy with Mrs M. R. Ashton, of Te Kawa, in the death of her husband, a prominent member of the Association, was recorded in the usual form. It was decided to acquire a Union Jack for the purposes of the Association.
The treasurer was authorised to transfer part of the Association funds to the Post Office Savings Bank in order to obtain the benefit of interest.
