OBITUARY
MIRS. LILLIAS SCOTT There passed away on Monday, at Epsom (Auckland), at the residence of her daughter, Mrs H. G. Reading, Mrs Lillias Scott, wife of Mr Joseph F. Scott, a very old settler of the Rangiatea district. The deceased lady, together with her husband had resided in Hawera for some years, where they were engaged in the bakery business. They took up Crown lands at Rangiatea, some 25 years ago, and were successful in creamproduction operations. Selling out about two years ago, they travelled extensively before retiring at Auckland. When living at Rangiatea, both the late Mrs Scott, and her husband were an acquisition in musical and social circles. The deceased lady was bom at Wetherstones, Otago, and although her health, in recent years was indifferent, her sudden passing came as a great shock to her relatives and many friends. She is survived by her husband Mr J. W. Scott, (Auckland), her daughter, Mrs H. G. Reading (Auckland), and two sons, Mr J. F. Scott (Darinevirke), and Dr Frank Scott (Palmerston North).
