Mrs Mel. Loveridge, of Matamata, is at present visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs R. H. Westbrook, Arawa-ta Street.
Mr J. G. Wynyard, who has been indisposed for several weeks, is now almost completely recovered, and, as president of the Waipa Rugby Union, he was an interested spectator at the matches on Saturday afternoon at Albert Park.
Te Awamutu Orphans’ Club members will be interested to learn that Bro. H. Lewis has been elected president of the Tauranga Club. Bro. Lewis is an old Te Awamutu boy, and is a brother of Mrs C. F. Storey, Hairini.
M|r Phil. Spiers, of Wellington, is spending his holidays with his relatives in this district, and, always a keen hockey enthusiast, he turned, out with the whistle last Saturday afternoon to assist in the Wiaipa Hockey Association’s championships. Phil, is a former New Zealand and Wellington representative.
