HAMILTON STOCK SALE. Mesrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd-, report having held their usual weekly stock sale at Frankton saleyards on Tuesday as under:—Fat sheep: An average yarding, prices on a par with last week’s rates. Medium heavy wethers 27s 6d to 295, medium weight wethers 26s to 275, Light wethers 255, extra, heavy ewes 20s 6d to 22s 6d, good fat ewes 19s to 20s 3d, light and unfinished ewes 14s 6d to 16s 6d. Fat lambs. Export buyers were operating at a reduced schedule at equal to 8d per lb for prime lots. Best heavy lambs 21s 6d to 23s 6d, medium weight 19s 6d to 21s, light and unfinished 18s to 18s 9d. Store sheep: Only a small yarding. We sold 129 good mouthed ewes r.w. Southdown rams at 255, 66 full mouthed ewes r.w. Southdown rams 18s. Fat cattle: An average yarding. Choice quality steers and heifers wcye a shade better than last week. Other qualities were on a par with late rates. Choice heifers made up to £7 15s, steers up to £lO ss, ordinary fat cows £4 15s to £5 17s 6d, Jersey ecws £3 5s to’£4 ss, runners £2 2s 6d to £3 7s 6d, vealers Jss to 255. Store cattle: A fair yarding which met with moderate competition. We sold year ling Shorthorn steers £3 6s, smaller ditto £2 12s 6d, small cross bred steers £2, pen empty crossbred heifers £2 7s. Pigs: There was a medium yarding of fat pigs with a heavy yairding of stores. Baconers met with keen demand and advanced on last quotations, the top price obtained being £3 12s. Porkers also hardened slightly on previous quotations. Stores and weaners were firm and slightly advanced in prices. We quote: Heavy baconers £3 to £3 ss, medium baconers £2 12s to £3, light do £2 5s to £2 10s, buttermilk pigs 38s to £2 Bs, heavy porkers 36s to £2, medium do 30s to 345, light do 26s to 30s, small and unfinished porkers 20s to 245. choppers £2 to £2 14s, sows in pig £3 to £3 18s, sows with litters £2 18s to £3, best stores 20s to 265, medium 16s to 20s, slips 12s to 15s, best weaners 8s to 12s, others 5s to 7s 6d.

CAMBRIDGE STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held their tri-weekly sale at Cambridge on Monday, when a medium yarding of cattle and a good yarding of pigs came forward. A few good quality beef cattle were penned while the remainder comprised mostly forward condition Jersey cows. A small yarding of dairy .cattle met with fair demand for early calvers, but more backward sorts were not in demand. Stort cattle sold at full late rates. Porker pigs sold at full market rates, While small stores and weaners were dull of sale. We quote: Good quality fat Shorthorn cows £5 to £5 19s, fat Jersey cows £3 to £3 IGs, fat Jersey heifers £3 10s to £4, fat and forward Jersey cows £2 5s to £2 17s 6d, fresh conditioned cows 38s to £2 ss, store Jersey cows 20s to 37s 6d, good quality dairy cows £4 to £5 17s 6d, good quality dairy heifers £4 to £5 10s. hoggets 23s Id. Pigs: Heavy porkers 34s to 365, medium 28s to 325, light 20s to 265, large store pigs 16s to 225, small store pigs 9s to 12s, slips 8s to 10s,'best weaners 5s to Bs.

CLEARING SALE AT PUTARURU. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd. report having held a clearing sale of

estate of the late E. Earl, Pukeatua. There was a good attendance and practically a total clearance was effected at full market rates. The cows fetched from £4 5s to £5 10s, backward sorts £3 10s to £4, Jersey heifers springing to caive £3 17s 6d to £5. Three stand Wolseley shearing machines £52 10s, grinder £l4, wool press £l4 15s, 3 h.p. Anderson engine £ll 10s, roller £lO, set discs £6, R. and G. plough £3 10s, Massey drill £9, reaper and binder £8 10s, sundries at late rates.
