BUSINESS ON 'CHANGE.
A DEPRESSED MARKET. .1 Resales of the Government's new 6} per cent, loan stock are still being made at £BB, and apparently many of the large investors are prepared to quit stocks as soon as they have satisfied the obligation to subscribe. All this, and the necessity of firms to realise on ordinary investments In order to meet drafts in connection with importations of stock, are depressing the ordinary share market. Really, there is practically no change In quotations from last week, but even these are largely nominal. The splendid position revealed by the Canterbury Frozen Meat Co., Ltd., In its recent balancesheet should, in the ordinary course, have attracted buyers. But the only quotation is by a seller, who asks for the higher figure of £l3 15/-. CHRISTCHURCH STOCK EXCHANGE. TO-DAY'S QUOTATIONS.
