Father O'Flanagan, act-ing-president of Sinn Fein, has telegraphed to the Rt. Hon. D. Lloyd I George as follows: —"You state you I .are willing to make peace without waiting for Christmas. Ireland also is willing. What is the first step you propose?" Mr Henderson visited Cardinal Logue at Armagh. Cardinal Logue said he was deeply anxious for a cessation of violence, and a truce with a cleaner, calmer atmosphere, enabling discussions with a view to an honourable- settlement. r NDS OUT OF POCKETS. A MACROOM ORDER. (A. A N.Z.) LONDON, Dec. 6. A proclamation has been posted in the Macroom area (County Cork) announcing that as members of the Crown forces have been foully murdered by apparently innocuous persons carrying pistols in their clothing, all males are forbidden to put their hands in their pockets in Ouhlic. Anybody disobeying is able to be shot at sight.
