WEDDINGS.

A very pretty wedding was solemised at St. Matthew's Church, St. Albans, on Thursday last, when Miss Evelyn Azealia Woodard, third daughter of Mr and Mrs John Woodard, of St. Albans, was married to Mr William Robertson Jack, of Dunedin. The Rev. A. Hore officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked graceful in a charming gown of soft white satin, trimmed with tiny rosebuds. She wore the usual veil and orange blossoms, and carried a lovely bouquet orroses and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids were Misses Laura and Amy Woodard, sisters of the; bride. The former looked dainty in a sweet froak of daffodil satin, with bodice and loose panels of pale .sea-green georgette and Leghorn hat. She carried a bouquet of tulips. The latter was prettily attired in a frock of pale pink and heliotrope georgette, worn with an artistic black hat trimmed with roses, and carried a bouquet of wistaria. Mr F. Howarth acted as best man, and Mr Chas. Woodard, brother of the bride, acted as groomsman. After the ceremony a dainty tea was served at the Ca'dena. Tha happy couple were the recipients of many handsome presents. Later Mr and Mrs Jack left for their future home in Auckland. The bride's travelling costume was of navy shantung, trimmed with fawn, and a smart toque en suite.

This afternoon, in St. Saviour's Church, Lyttelton, a pretty wedding was solemnised by tEe Rev. E. Eliot Chambers, the contracting parties being Miss Ethel Elizabeth Austin, eldest daughter of the late Mr John Wm. Austin and Mrs Austin, Norwich Quay, Lyttelton, to Mr Walter Wakefield, only son of Mr W. Wakefield, Sydenham, Christchurch. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr Robert Rich, St. Martins, Christchurch, looked handsome in a white crepe de Chine dress, trimmed with pearls and silk insertion. She wore a veil finished with orange blossoms, and carried a beautiful shower bouquet. Misses Evelyn and Rita Austin, sisters cf the bride, who were the bridesmaids, wore very becoming pink crepe de Chine dresses, trimmed with ribbons to match, and pink hats with mauve flowers and streamers. Each carried pretty pink and mauve bouquets. Two little sisters of the bride, Mona and Marjorie, who acted as flower girls, were neatly attired in blue silk dresses. Mr Oscar Lindstrom officiated as best man. The wedding breakfast was held at the residence of the bride. Mrs Austin, who received the guests, wore a very pretty black crepe de Chine dress finished with mauve satin. Various toasts were honoured. The bride's travelling apparel is a smart tailormade costume of fawn cloth, with a black and gold hat. The happy couple will leave by motor to-night for the south, where their honeymoon will be spent.
