THE COAL COMMISSION.
MR SMILLIE'S AIM. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Rcc. May 19, 1.40) LONDON, May 18. Mr Smillie received several presentations at villages in Larkhall. He said he had no intention to ridicule the coal owning Dukes. He was merely aiming to prove that the system was bad, and he wished to overturn the present system by constitutional means, avoiding rebellion and bloody revolution. He did not intend to preach contentment until there was reason for it.
