WEDDINGS.

A quiet wedding was celebrated at St. Mary's Church, Addington, yesterday. The Eev. Canon Bean was the officiating clergyman, and the contracting parties were Mr Olrig Sinclair, elder son of Mr Wm. Sinclair (Christchurch) fend Miss Eugby Gladys Neill, only daughter of Mrs A. Neill and the late Mr Eobert Neill (also of Christchurch). Mr Eobert Nixon acted as best man, and the bride was given away by Jier brother, Mr John Neill. She wore a becoming cream costume and a black panne velvet hat, ornamented with blue tibbon. After the ceremony the bride's mother entertained a party of friends at a reception at her rosidcnce, 251 Montreal Street, and later on Mr Sinclair and his bride left for the south on their wedding trip. Mrs Neill (the bride's mother) wore a stylish tailored costume in clerical grey cloth, and black fox furs, her black crepe do chine hat being ' trimmed with ospreys. Mrs Sinclair (bridegroom's mother) was in a grey <sostume and purple velvet hat. Guests at the reception included Mr W. Sinclair, Mr and Mrs G. Harris, Mr and Mrs John Sinclair, Miss Menzies, Mr lan Sinclair, Misses Sinclair, Mr and Mrs McLean, Mr and Mrs and the Misses McMurray, Miss I. M. Cartmill, Mr A. Jones, Mr E. Nixon, Eev. Canon and Mrs Bean, Mrs F. H. Steel, Mrs F. Brightling, Mrs A. Miles, Mr and Mrs E, Forbes, and Mr John Neill. A very pretty wedding was that of Miss Edna Angus, elder daughter of Mr Angus, Christchurch, and Mr E. 11. of Brisbane, Queensland, which was celebrated at Knox Church, the Eev. Dr Erwin officiating. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very charming in a graceful frock of white chiffon taffeta, with touches of pale pink georgette. A beautiful wedding veil was worn, and she carried a bouquet of hothouse flowers and maidenhair fern. She was accompanied by Miss Dorothy Page, as bridesmaid, the latter wearing a pretty dress of pale pink chiffon taffeta and black hat, her bouquet being of pale pink flowers and autumn tints. Miss Ida Angus, sister of the bride, wore white crepe de chine, and carried a bouquet of cream roses. The bridegroom was accompanied by Private Guy Farrell as best man. After the ceremony the friends of the both families were entertained at a reception at the residence of the bride's parents.
