MUCH LOCAL FIGHTING. •SUCCESSFUL TRENCH RAIDS. A., and N.Z. Cable Association and Reuter. (Received March 12, 12.20 p.m.) LONDON, March 11. A French communique states:—We launched several successful coups de main against German trenches in the regions of Lassigny, Canny sur Mctz, and north of the Bois du Jury, in Woevre, and captured prisoners. There has been fairly considerable reciprocal artillery action in the sector of Maisons de Champagne. An enemy attempt against our small posts in the region of Zargitzen, in Alsace, failed.
