WATERSIDE LABOUR.
ACTION BY RAILWAY EMPLOYEES Following on the action of the. Lyttelton Wharf Labourers' Union in ceasing work at 10 p.m., the Lyttelton Casual Wharf Labourers» Union, whose members are in the employ of the Eailway Department, have' now taken a ballot on the question. Only one issue was submitted to the members; viz.:—
"Are you in favour of the working hours being from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.?" The proposal was carried almost unanimously, the voting being 90 foij and 2 against. .
