GROUND RENTALS.

WELLINGTON, March 31
The hearing of the motion by the City Council to set aside the arbitrators' awards in the leases of J. Harcourt, Hall and Knight, Aitken and Wilson, Kirkcaldie and Stains, and George and Kersley, on the ground that the rentals were too low, was resumed in the Supreme Court before the Chief Justice this morning. The properties are situated on Lambton Quay, and the adjoining thoroughfares in the city area and the rentals range from £2 5/- to £5 per foot. After Mr Martin for the Corporation had replied to Mr C. P. Skerrett for the .lessees, his Honour reserved his decision.
