SUSPICIOUS DEATH.

The body found at the foreshore end of the Victoria wharf has been definitely identified as that of William Bills, a rabbiter, between 50 and 60 years of age. lie left Marenga Station two months ago, since which time no knowledge of his movehieuts has been obtained. The circumstance educed, while not favouring any theory of foul play, do not eliminate the possibility of it. Consequently,' at the inquest, which was held this inoi'ning, the police asked for an adjournment' after calling medical evidence. This showed bruises on the head, which might be either the result of falls or blows. The condition of the stomach was consistent with chronic alcoholism. The inquest was adjourned sine die.
