HARRY DAWSON MISSION
NEW LYNN BAPTIST CHURCH The evangelist, Mr. Harry Dawson, opened a week’s mission at Hew Lynn Baptist Church last evening. Taking as a heading for his address the words “The Crisis,” Mr. Lawson presented the Gospel in an arresting manner. Using an Old Testament illustration, he showed that all mankind at some time or other faced a crisis. The crisis which faced his hearers this night, said Mr. Dawson, was a choice for or against Christ. The missioner’s appeal went home. The spirit of God was manifest when two women and five boys made the great choice, while two young men claimed the fullness of His Spirit. The singing of the Rev. George Yu’ assisted by Mrs. Dawson and Mrs. Yule, was a contributing factor to the spiritual blessing of the first night of what promises to be a memorable week. The meeting was well attended, and closed much later than usual. Mr. Dawson would welcome written appeals for intercessory prayer from any in difficulties of any sort whatever, he said, in mentioning the power of rayer.
