WRESTLING TONIGHT
McDOUGALL AND STECHER fiOOD BOUT EXPECTED The wrestling bout between Tony Steelier and “Scotty” McDougall. which takes place at the Town Hall this evening under the auspices of the Auckland Ex-Servicemen’s Wrestling Union, should provide a hard and scientific display. Although this will be Steclier’s first appearance in New Zealand, lie claims to have not been beaten in 500 matches, and it will he interesting to seo if McDougall will put the first adverse mark on liis record. Mc - Dougall has given some good bouts in the Town Hall, and his opponents usually know they have been wrestling, so it can be taken for granted that Steelier has a hard time in front of him. A number of amateur preliminary bouts will be staged in support of the main event. LOGAN DEFEATS RAY HARD BOUT AT DUNEDIP: Press Association DUNEDIN, Sunday. In a hard and fast display of wrestling yesterday Walter Logan (13st) defeated. Tom Ray (12st 91b) by two falls to one. The contest ended in the seventh round. Logan secured r: submission fall in the third round and Ray, using an airplane spin, pinned Logan in the fifth. The last rounds were characterised by fierce wrestling. Logan eventually bringing Ray to the mat in the seventh round and winning with a body scissors*
