CLAIM FOR DAMAGES
LADY POMARE’S ACTION FAILS SEQUEL TO CAR COLLISION WELLINGTON, Today. In the Magistrate’s Court today, Mr. J. S. Barton, S.M., gave judgment in the case in which Lady Miria Pomare claimed £159 10s 3d damages from R. L. Swanson, farmer, of Whiteman’s Valley, as a result of a motor collision. Defendant counterclaimed for £lO 14s 6d and costs of the action. After hearing the evidence the magistrate gave judgment fo>- defendant,. holding that plaintiff had been negligent.
