The annual meeting of the Rotorua Co-operative Terminating Building Society was held on Wednesday, Mr. P. Jervis presiding. The report showed profits in the first group to be £602 19s 9d, the total profits being £4,134 3s sd, equivalent to £5 3s 3d a share. The total advances to members amount to £17,400. Two sums of £2OO and £4OO were secured by ballot, and an appropriation by sale of £6OO. • Messrs. Gainsford, Pakes. and Steele were elected to the directorate. The Returned Soldiers’ Association executive met on Thursday evening to discuss conditions under which Keporoa settlers are working. Mr. C. H.
