HONEY IN DEMAND

Mr. Rentoul, chairman of the New Zealand Honey Producer’s Board, visited Holland, Germany, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. He found that New Zealand honey was much appreciated and was taking first place over the local product. Sometimes the New Zealand honey was preferred owing to the reliable of its quality, but one Copenhagen firm asked if it was a fair deal to expect them to buy New Zealand honey while New Zealand put a prohibitive tariff on the Danish product.
