“IF PANTHER-”
RACING AT OTAKI
Panther is going well in his work on the tracks and he can be expected to run good races at Otaki. In fact, with B. H. Morris in the saddle, it is quit© on the cards that he will win a stake at the meeting. He is entered for the Raukawa Cup on the openirg day, but there is just the possibility that the distance might be rather far for him.
If Panther takes on the middle distance event on the second day he is sure to give the opposition something to do to down him, but there is the chance that Laughing Prince, who runs among the sprinters on the firs: day. will contest the same race, and he should be a very hard opponent. However, if Panther does his best—there is always that “if”—he will tukta lot of beating.
