T ATEST advices from the casualty clearing stations occupied by “cot” cases of turf heroes are as follow: Star Comet has not yet recovered from his ailment, and in some quarters is regarded as almost a washout so far as the Great Northern Hurdles is concerned. The j heart is the trouble. Kawini appears to have made a
pretty recovery from his lame- ! ness, and trainer R. Hall has hopes of getting the Formative gelding to the post on Tuesday. Omeo was not worked this mornj ing. He is reported to be very sore. Something more definite as to Omeo’s condition may be gauged tomorrow morning. His 1 trainer is pessimistic.
