The three-year-old moved freely and pulled up well. Tuisho, Camargo. Pamphleteer and Lady Kentrel, finishing in that order, did a mile in 1.46%. Fashion did five furlongs on the steeple track (grass) in 1.3, and Demost nine in 2.1 Kandala and Belle Gallante were not extended over a mile on the course proper in 1.531, and Finsbury and Ithuriel did ten iu 2.151. Parsee and Treat went six on the grass in 1.18. and Micawberite and Debenture, finishing together, ran four j in 481. Elrev ran six in 1.19. Quick Reward did the best mile, in 1.43. IN THE SHADE PENALISED In the Shade has been rehandicapped to 7.9 in the New Zealand Cup. an increase of 61b.
