ELECTIONS IN ONTARIO PROVINCE LIQUOR CONTROL QUESTION (United P.A. —By Telegraph — Copyright) OTTAWA, Saturday. The electors of the Province of Ontario will go to the polls next Wednesday, when unquestionably the Conservative Government, headed by the Premier, Mr. G. H. Ferguson, will be returned. One of the chief recommendations of the present Administration is the fairly general satisfaction that is felt regarding the sale of liquor by Government stores. The Liberal and Progressive Opposition would abolish this for prohibition, or something else untried, and on this issue Mr. Ferguson appears certain to be returned to power. All the same, there is growing propaganda throughout Ontario, where most of Canada’s breweries and distilleries are situated, to make illegal the export of liquor to the United States.
