£IOO GONE IN THREE WEEKS FINED FOR DRUNKENNESS Sevenpence is all that is left out of Dio £IOO cheque that Charles John O'Connor had when he came to Auckland from Gisborne three weeks ago. When O’Connor appeared at the otahuliu Police Court today before Air. L\ H. Levien, S.M.. he did not say 'vhat had become of his money. He charged with being drunk at Otahuhu. Sergeant Lambert said that when arrested o’Coqnor was practically in the “D.T.'s.” and lie asked to be locked t*P as he had no money and nowhere to So. Accused told him that he came to Auckland from Gisborne three 'voeks ago with a cheque for .CIOO and he had only sevenper.ee leftIn convicting accused and fining him 10s, the magistrate remarked that if he did not have the money a clean-up would do him good.
