WHALER CAPTAIN HURT
MASTER OF CHASER HIT BY ANCHOR NEARLY LEFT BEHIND Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. While Captain H. Sorensen, master of one of the Kosmos’s whale chasers, was superintending operations previous to departure an anchor fell upon him and injured his left thigh. To all appearances, his fate was to be left behind, but the hospital authorities decided that as the Kosmos herself had a surgeon aboard, Sorensen might be allowed to leave under his care.
