PRISONERS SENTENCED
CHRISTCHURCH COURTS Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. Mr. Justice Adams sentenced the following prisoners in the Christchurch Supreme Court yesterday:—Harold Petheran, guilty of mischief, was admitted to probation for two years and ordered to pay the costs of his prosecution. £8 10s; James Joseph Thomas Morris, for the theft of £4OO, his employer's money, was sentenced to three years’ reformative treatment: for the theft of a watch and chain John Henry Percival Hagarty was sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment; Edward James Dawson, for breaking and entering and theft, was sent to gaol for 12 months.
