Obituary
CAPTAIN a. channer The death of Captain Arthur Channer occurred on Tuesday at Norfolk Island. While in the British Navy he visited all parts of the w r orld. Having lived in Tauranga for about three years, he removed with his wife to Norfolk Island 12 months ago. He is survived by his w'ife and one son, wTio is a barrister in England. MR. W. H. ATKIN Mr. W. H. Atkin, sole proprietor of the firm of Messrs. Cousins and Atkin, coachbuildere, died on Thursday evening at the age of 65. Mr. Atkin’s parents came to New Zealand in 1862, and after a short stay at Albertland settled in Auckland. In 1886 Mr. Atkin married Miss Minna Boucher, of Wiveliscombe, Somerset. Tie was a widely-known bowler, having joined the Auckland Bowling Club in 1909. He was sole selector for many years, and vice-president until just before his death. A private funeral was held.
