BROKE CONDITION OF PROBATION Press Association CHRISTCHURCH. Thursday. For the breach of a term of his probation, in that he had failed to make restitution of £l6l ss, Herbert Rudd was today imprisoned until the rising of the court, a period of two minutes. It was suggested that probation be extended, to which his Honour replied, “One cannot very well hold a man on probation for the term of his natural life, and he has been on probation lor three years already. The probation system is not a collecting agency.”
