STREET IMPROVEMENT
MINISTER’S OFFER TAKEN A strip of land outside the police station at the corner of Princes and O’Rorke Streets has been granted to the City Council, according to a notification last evening from the Minister of Justice. The council asked for the area to carry out a street improvement. The land was granted on conditions making necessary the bearing by the City of costs of survey and legislation, the completion of road-work and paths within four weeks from the finish of legislation, and reconstruction of fencing by the City. The Minister’s offer was accepted and the work authorised.
