90,000 MORE MOTORCARS
AUSTRALIA'S IMPORTS FOR YEAR ONLY 10,000 FROM BRITAIN Retd. 9 a.m. CANBERRA. Today. The goods imported into Australia from the United Kingdom last year were valued approximately at £56,000,000. The figures were the lowest for nine years. Imports from the United States, amounting to about £35,000,000, were about equal to the previous year. The number of motorchassis brought into the Commonwealth last year was 99,000, of which the United States supplied 60,000, Canada 23.000, the United Kingdom 10.000, and other countries the remainder.
