FOR RETURNED MAN
BENEFIT CONCERT HELD AT NORTHCOTE A benefit concert tendered by Aliss E. Gunman’s pupils, for a returned I soldier who had recently suffered a re- ' currence of war illness, was largely attended in the Palais Theatre at Northcote last evening. The various items given by the young folk were freely applauded, and encores were frequent. At the conclusion of the performance Mr. H. Shaw thanked the promoters for their splendid efforts. Bouquets were presented to the children’s tutor. Miss Ebba Gunman. Mrs. A. J. Hurley, accompanist, md Miss Vera Gunman and Myrtle Leppcr, who were responsible for the pretty nnd j varied costumes worn by tha children j performers.
