TAKAPUNA BAND ROOM
TO BE BUILT BY MEMBERS
The proposal to erect a band room upon Taharoto Park was dealt with at the monthly committee meeting ot the Takapuna Municipal Band on Thursday evening. This had been raised at the last meeting ot the Takapuna Borough Council, which placed a provisional sum of £6O to ward the cost upon its draft estimates. Ample skilled labour is available among the bandsmen, the only outlay being for material. The conductor, Mr. H. Christenson, who is a builder, was instructed to prepare plans and specifications, to be placed before the next committee meeting of the council. It was decided to hold an inspection parade soon. Yesterday afternoon the band gave a programme ot music at St. Josephs Orphanage, Takapuna.
