TITLE OF “HONOURABLE”
RIGHT FOR EX-MINISTERS (From Our Resident Reporter) WELLINGTON, Today. The right to retain the title “Honourable” has been given the following four members of the Reform Cabinet: Mr. W. Downie Stewart, former Minister of Finance; Mr. G. J. Anderson, former Minister of Labour; Mr. A. D. McLeod, former Minister of Lands; and Sir Maui Poruare, former Minister of Health. The title is retained by virtue of their having served for periods of more than three years as members of the Executive Council of New Zealand.
