JUST ESCAPED GAOL
INTOXICATED DRIVER FINED Press Association MASTERTOX, Today. As the outcome of a motor accident near Masterton on Saturday, William Hutchinson Gordon, a farmer, aged 42. appeared before the Police Court this morning charged with being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car. He was fined £75, and his licence suspended for 12 months, the magistrate stating that the question that exercised his mind Mas -whether accused should be sent to gaol.
