BIBLE CLASS UNION

ANGLICAN’S SUCCESSFUL YEAR The annual meeting of the Auckland Diocesan Committee of the Hew Zealand Anglican Bible Class Union was held yesterday. The chairman’s report stated that at present there were 22 classes affiliated in the Auckland Diocese, with a total of over 250 members. Five classes had joined up during the year, and it was hoped that at least six others would have joined' by the end of the year. -Attention has been given to leadership training, two addresses and a demonstration lesson having been given. There had been co-operation with other unions on this subject, and a combined series of lectures has been arranged for the coming winter. A successful rally had been arranged by the Holy Sepulchre classes, and a combined evening service had been held at St. Matthew’s and broadcast. At the St. Mary’s Home’s bazaar, members liad done good work in the running of side-shows. During the winter there had been a gymnasium class under the capable leadership of a Y.M.C.A. leader, and open to all union members. A strong delegation of members attended the annual camp and conference held this year at Solway, Masterton. A visiting committee has done good work throughout the year in visiting classes, taking the place of absent leader, and carrying on classes till permanent loaders were found. Interchange of visits to classes and clubs have been made, and debates arranged between classes. The following officers were elected: Chairman, Mr. S. W. Brooker; secretary, Mr. E. C. Good; treasurer, Mr. H. McElroy.
