MOUNT WELLINGTON ROAD BOARD

The clerk reported at Tuesday night’s meeting of the Mount Wellington Road Board that permits had been issued for buildings valued at £34.521 for the 12 months ended March 31. It was agreed not to forward any nomination from the board for a candidate for the Auckland Memorial Museum and Institute Council. In reply to on inquiry from the wav Department as to what steps the board intended to take with regard to blocking the tidal area at Westfield, the clerk was authorised to advise the department that the board considered it was a matter for the Railway Department and the Auckland Harbour Board to deal with. A donation of £2 2s was made to the Poppy Day fund.
