LORRY-DRIVER KILLED
COLLISION WITH TRAIN PRICE OF RECKLESSNESS rrcss Association GISBORNE, To-dav. John Ferry, aged 45. a truck-driver was killed near Makauri. about seven miles from Gisborne, yesterday after noon, when a goods train crashed inn. the truck he was driving. Despite the fact that he had a clear view of the railway track for nearly a quarter of a mile, he attempted to cross in front of the train. He was struck by the engine and killed in', stantly, the truck being smashed in pieces. Perry’s father is believed to be Irving in Auckland.
