ELECTRICAL MERGER
£25,500,000 INVOLVED (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Saturday. Capital totalling £10,000,00 and assets worth £15,5000,000, are involved in a great electrical trade amalgamation. The merging companies are the Metropolitan Vickers Company (Manchester), the British Thomson-Hou-ston Company (Augby), Edison Swan Company (London), and Ferguson and Pailiu (Manchester). It Is claimed that closer cooperation will result in a saving of expenditure and a reduction in selling prices, which will enable the British electricity industry to meet foreign competition.
