SYDNEY’S CIVIC CHIEF
MR. J. GARLICK APPOINTED (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY, Saturday. Mr. John Garlick has been appointed chief civic commissioner in Sydney in succession to the late Mr. Fleming. Mr. Garlick was for many years head of the Local Government Department. Mr. Morton will continue to act as second commissioner. Brigadier-Gen-eral Gordon Bennett, importer, has been appointed the third member of the Commission. He had command of the Second Division of the Australian Forces In the war.
