MANUREWA CLUB ANNUAL MEETING The balance sheet submitted at the annual meeting of the Manurewa Bowling Club on Tuesday evening showed a credit balance of £2B 3s 5. Mr. C. A. Fawcett, president of the club, submitted a comprehensive report of the season’s work. The assets of the club were shown at £250, with liabilities as £4O. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: Patron. Mr. A. C. A. Sexton; president, Mr. C. A. Fawcett; vice-presidents. Messrs. C. Hawthorn and G. Gallagher; secretary, Mr. F. W. Whyte; treasurer, Mr. F. Law; general committee, Messrs. J. S. Wilcox, W. Bell, W. W. Rodgers, C. A. Robertson, P. A. Nield and George Osborne; selection committee, Messrs. Whitten, Law, Robertson; power plant sub-committee, Messrs. Fawcett, Murray, F. White and Fowler; delegate to association, Mr. E. S. Pegler. INDOOR BOWLING The weekly tournament of the Birkenhead United Friendly Societies’ Indoor Bowling Club was well attended last evening in the Foresters’ lodgeroom. The winners were R. Freegard. C. Beckman and C. Cameron.
