It fixes the daily hours at from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and asks observance of all public holidays, with the payment rate treble time for holidays and Sundays.

There is provision also for three weeks’ annual holiday on full pay, and 13 weeks’ leave after 10 years’ service. The wages claimed, other than the minimum, range up to £lB weekly for accountants and chief clerks.—A. and N.Z.
