GIFT ALBUM FOR POPE

SOUVENIR OF “ROCKIES” A memento of the days prior to his ascension to the Papal Throne, when most of his spare time was spent among the famous mountain ranges of the world, will shortly be forwarded to Pope Pius XI. in tile form of a photographic album of the Canadian Rockies. The album will be a gift front the Canadian Pacific Railways in response to the wish recently expressed by the Pope to a prominent Canadian to see some pictures of the Canadian mountains. _ H’s wish was conveyed to Mr. E. vv. Beatty, chairman and president of the Canadian Pacific Railway, who has had prepared an album de luxe of the Canadian Rockies, covering Lake Louise, the Yoho Valley, Sicamous Glacier and the Thompson and Fraser River Canyons. The album is the work ot I hi lip pc Beaudion, of Montreal, who studied and mastered the binding art in Paris. The album will be sent to his Holiness within a week or so.
