SETTLED OUT OF COURT A claim for £I,OOO under the Workers’ Compensation Act, which Wa s to engage the Arbitration Court to-day, was settled for £750 before the court assembled. The claimant was Mrs. Bessie Codun, a widow with two children, whose nusbaud, a stcok agent, died from injuries received at Otahuhu on April 3 tfl is year while in the employ of Dalsety and Co., Ltd. His Honour Mr. Justice Frazer directed Mr. E. J. Prendergast, counsel for the claimant, to seek an order ** to the disposal of compensation through the Public Trustee.
